Our Mini Kitchen Remodel

I’m over the moon to FINALLY share my kitchen remodel photos with y’all! When Mr. San Diego and I first moved into our new home, we loved everything about it…except the kitchen. Mind you, it was a perfectly decent kitchen, but the countertops and the sink were just plain ugly. We were fortunate enough to make some minor changes that made a HUGE difference, and I absolutely adore my kitchen now!

A Mini Makeover

It was SOO fun to be able to have my Joanna Gaines moment (sans wall removal) and turn my boring kitchen into something worthy of a little farmhouse! We worked with a local general contractor and had a farmhouse sink installed, painted the cabinets a light grey color, installed a super cool herringbone tile backsplash, and added some really fun gold/bronze hardware! Just making those minor changes completely opened up the space and I love, love, love how it turned out! Our kitchen isn’t the biggest but it’s perfect for the two of us!

before

Sigh. I took a bunch of photos of the kitchen before we remodeled it and I have absolutely no idea what happened to them! I’m so bummed! These were the only ones I could find that gave a good idea of what the kitchen looked like.

after

How cute did it all turn out?! I’m obsessed with my farm sink and love that we were able to find a quartz countertop with gold veining to match the super cool faucet we found! We were originally going to paint the cabinets a light sage green, but I think we made the right choice going with the light grey instead! It helps to brighten up the space and makes it feel more open.

What do y’all think?! Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo!
