4th of July Flag Cake
Happy 4th of July! WOO!
Here are two truths: I completely forgot where I found the recipe for this cake, and all the layers are the same flavor but with food coloring. It wasn’t my best cake but it was such a fun idea that I couldn’t help but share it. On the outside, it is just a regular cake - but once you cut into it - BAM! A secret flag waits to surprise you!
All you need is two red cake layers, two white cake layers, and one blue cake layer. Stack one blue layer and one white layer together, cut a circle in the middle of both cakes, and then separate the inner circles you just cut. Put the small white circle inside the larger blue layer, and you have your new top for the cake! That’s it! Easy peasy.
