Dayne's Craft Barbecue | Fort Worth

Y’all know I love good barbecue, but I especially love when it’s accompanied by a cool experience. Dayne’s Craft Barbecue made an impression, not only for their good sausage and unique sides but also because of their very cool food trailer located inside Lola’s Trailer Park in Fort Worth.

After we left, we found out that THEY’RE MOVING due to Lola’s shutting down at the end of the month, so most of my photos below will be old news come May. Luckily, it doesn’t matter much since I’m sure you’re only here to read about the food (which is the most important part)!

I’ll do my best to update this post once I find out where the new location will be. Good thing they’re on wheels!

Sausage and Sides

Sausage Savants

Dayne’s seems to have made their name with a wide rotation of handmade sausages. Have you ever heard of a cordon bleu sausage? Neither have I! Jalapeño Havarti? Not that one either! From what I’ve read, they have 16 different sausage recipes for their ‘Link of the Week’.

The Texas Trinity

To make things easy, we ordered their Texas Trinity special to get a good sampling of what they offered. On the plate above is prime brisket, pork ribs, the Beefy Texan sausage link, Flamin’ Hot Street Corn, and Frito Pie Beans. We also got the chocolate lasagna dessert for good measure. As expected from a Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joint, their meats were fantastic! The brisket was delicious, the sausage snappy, and the ribs fell right off the bone.

unique sides

What really had me curious was the Flamin’ Hot Street Corn, which I’ve never seen anywhere else. It had all the important elements of good elote with crumbled Hot Cheetos on top, and honestly, it was so good! I was super impressed! Their Frito Pie Beans were fantastic too! It is a bit of a novelty to use chips on their sides, but it works well and kind of fits with the trailer park vibe (in a good way).

Get There Early

While the lines aren’t ridiculously long, it’s worth getting there when they open to avoid any sellouts. We arrived about 15 minutes after they opened, and while we only had about 10 people in front of us, they already sold out of one of their desserts. They’re only open Friday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Worth A Visit

If you’re looking for a place to get amazing barbecue and have a good time with friends on a weekend afternoon, Dayne’s is a perfect place to visit!

Lola’s Trailer Park

Now that I know Lola’s is shutting down their West 7th location, I don’t have too much to share. However, we showed up while Wrestle Mania was in town and ended up at Lola’s during a Luchador wrestling event. It was quite a surprise, but a very fun one!

happy eating! xoxo
